1 Course Details

The Human Resources Administration program provides students with hands-on human resources training that employers demand.

Students learn how to develop, implement, and evaluate human resources and labour relations policies, programs, and procedures, while also gaining the skills needed to advise employers and employees on human resources matters.

Human resources professionals work across a wide range of industries and may be employed in both the private and public sectors, or pursue opportunities in self-employment or consulting.

  • Develops academic discipline, time management, communication, and professional behavior necessary for college and workplace success.
Introduction to Financial Accounting
  • Introduces accounting fundamentals, financial statements, and transaction recording relevant to business operations.
Business Mathematics
  • Covers applied business calculations including percentages, payroll calculations, interest, and financial problem-solving.
Introduction to Computers
  • Builds foundational computer literacy, file management, internet research, and digital workplace readiness.
Introduction to Word Processing
  • Focuses on professional document creation, formatting, and structured business correspondence.
Introduction to Presentation Software
  • Teaches development of professional visual presentations for business communication.
Introduction to Spreadsheets
  • Covers spreadsheet functions, formulas, data organization, and basic analysis tools.
Business Communications
  • Develops professional written and verbal communication skills for workplace environments.
Introduction to Management
  • Introduces management principles, leadership foundations, and organizational structure.
3 Admission Requirements

Prior to acceptance, applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:

Basic Eligibility

  • Proof of Grade 12 completion or equivalent, or
  • 19 years of age or older

English Language Proficiency

Applicants must also provide evidence of English language proficiency through one of the following:

  • Secondary Education in English
    Proof that 3 years of full-time secondary education (Grades 8–12) were successfully completed in English in a country where English is a principal language.

    • May include completion of an Adult Graduation Program
    • Must provide transcripts showing Grade 12 English with a minimum grade of “C.”
  • Post-Secondary Education in English
    Completion of 2 years of full-time post-secondary education at an accredited institution where English is the language of instruction (in a country where English is a principal language).
  • Approved English Language Test Scores
    Test results must be no more than two (2) years old before the program start date.Accepted tests and minimum scores:

    • IELTS Academic: Overall score 5.5 or higher
    • CAEL: Overall score 40 or higher
    • Duolingo English Test: Overall score 95 or higher
    • TOEFL iBT: Overall score 46 or higher
    • CELPIP: Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, Writing 5
    • PTE Academic: Overall score 43 or higher
    • CLBPT (Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test): Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, Writing 5
